Carpe Diem / Squad News

It's been a while, went on holiday at the start of the month and then kind of lost interest in the blog, no real input from the readers and not much discussion but I have decided to give it another go.

Since my last post we have got through to the Semi final of the Champions League and hold a 1-0 win to take to El Madrigal tomorrow night. We have also gained ground on Sp*urs but not managed to overhaul them. Now we are reliant on Bolton or West Ham doing us a favour, or winning the European Cup ourselves.

Saturday's events would just make it so sweet if we did the latter. But that isn't the right motivation for winning it.

As for yesterday the facts are simple, Jol did see it, he told Carrick to play on when we hesitated and then lied about it to Wenger's face, which is what Arsene didn't like. As I always say:

What goes around comes around

I can't really be bothered to talk about it. That twat from Arsenal wtf the says Arsene should apologise. What for? Accusing someone of lying when they were? Jol said to his face I didn't see it and Arsene knows he did, that's why he was so irate.

Arsene just needs to concentrate on tomorrow. It will be a long time before any Tott*nham manager finds themselves in a European Cup semi final and have the dilemma of whether they can afford to rest players for a big Premiership game.

If we get through tomorrow then Arsene is fully justified in doing just that.

Henry, Fabregas, Hleb, Ljungberg and Eboue should all start and by resting them on Saturday we have given ourselves the best possible chance.

Let's live for the moment, forget about what happened Saturday. We have the biggest game in the club's history on the horizon, I say;

ROLL ON TOMORROW

Here's the squad (No Senderos)

Jens Lehmann
Manuel Almunia
Sol Campbell
Gael Clichy
Kolo Toure
Emmanuel Eboue
Johan Djourou
Mathieu Flamini
Freddie Ljungberg
Robert Pires
Gilberto
Alexander Hleb
Jose Antonio Reyes
Cesc Fabregas
Alexandre Song
Abou Diaby
Thierry Henry
Robin van Persie
Theo Walcott

I don't think Walcott will play unless we lead 3-0 - which we probably won't. However, I bet he'll have his Premiership debut at Sunderland.

Nice to see you back Joe sorry to hear your despondent about the input from your readers, but keep it up mate your doing a good job.
So it’s up to you readers get typing.

You’re right on a few counts with regards to the weekend’s game.

AW has nothing to apologies for Jol knew exactly what he was going on & Carrick had no choice as his manager told him to keep playing.
But what else do you expect from a Tott*nham their scum & always will be.
But in their defence we should not have stopped playing & expected them to put the ball out.
Very naive in a game of that importance if you ask me?

Is anyone else as confident as me about tonight, because I really don't want to be!!!

Great result but terrible game last night. But @ least we made it to Paris.
The way our luck has been in this competition I can see Barcelona winning through tonight, with Ronaldinho & Deco finishing the game with bad injuries so they can't play the final, cos I now believe our names on this cup this year.

Anyone else think Mr Cole may have played his last game for the Ars?

Just found out we are being offered just over 20,000 tickets for the final.
Now I assume the other finalists will also be offered 20,000 as well.
Now if that the case the Stade de France holds 80,000, & that leaves 38-39,000 tickets going to neutrals.

"That can’t be right"

Anyone know any different???
